Most Disliked
Some guests have pointed out the limited seating capacity, especially during peak hours, leading to potential wait times. The intimate layout can also result in a crowded dining experience when the bar area fills up, which may make some newcomers feel observed or rushed. A few diners noted that service can become slightly slow when the restaurant is packed, but they typically appreciate the friendly demeanor of the staff. The narrow space might pose challenges for large groups or families, as table arrangements can be tight during busier times.

It's a quaint corner lot restraunt and bar of the BEST authentic Portuguese food from different meats to seafood cuisine. You can dress casual for lunch/dinner or dine in your best evening attire. Great Portuguese wine selection and servers are knowledgeable of which will be the best to match with your appetizers, entrees or sweet ending. Prices are always fair for the amount on your plates, and desserts are authentic to fulfill your sweet tooth. Monica rules the tables with a flair for each of your course meal. The outside may look small, yet the food is grand! Parking is on street on the side of building or a few spaces reserved for their customers.

You walk in and immediately want to stay forever. We honored our dearest Avoh here for her celebration of life and the people, service, food and energy were everything to us. The space is cozy and warm. The food beautifully authentic and thoughtfully prepared. The people who work there are generous, hard working and kind. Thank you more than words, you made the experience beautiful and joyful.

Hidden gem!! This small hometown restaurant is a local favorite!! The food is absolutely off the hook. Traditional Portuguese cuisine that is spectacular!!! You will find locals always here. The place is small but cozy with generous drinks. Many meals served in the pot they are cooked In. Doesn’t get more traditional!

First timer who will return again! Arrived on a Friday night around 5:45 or so, was told it would be a 30-minute wait and it was about that, maybe a tad bit longer, so we waited outside on the sidewalk, as there was no space at the bar. But, worth the wait! There may be about 10 four-tops in the dining space and off to the side, a small bar that maybe seats 10-12? We were seated and ordered an appetizer, which was a fresh deli meat and cheese and pickled cauliflower and roasted red pepper—delicious! For dinner I had the seafood stew with potatoes and it was sooooo good. Monica was a friendly, efficient server. My only complaint pertains to my own hyperawareness, for as we dined and enjoyed dessert—capachino and flan—there was a party of four—likely “regulars”—who were seated/standing at the bar and kept scanning the dining room again and again over the course of our hour-and-a-half there, which made me feel as if I were being watched and rushed. As a visitor to the area and someone who has 0% Portuguese in my DNA, that made me feel a tad bit awkward, but that is not at fault of the owner or manager. That experience wouldn’t stop me from visiting again!

If you’re in the Salem region and are from anywhere south, take a stop here. Some of the best grilled octopus I’ve had!
